Accessibility Statement for Roxwell Pre-school Website

Last updated: March 2026

Our commitment

Roxwell Pre-school is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, device, or browser. We want everyone – parents, carers, and members of our community – to be able to find the information they need easily.

What this statement covers

This accessibility statement applies to the website at www.roxwellpreschool.co.uk.

How accessible this website is

We have designed this website to be as accessible as possible. It includes:

  • A clear and consistent navigation structure across all pages
  • Readable fonts and good contrast between text and background colours
  • Descriptive image elements throughout the site
  • A responsive layout that works on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices

Known limitations

We are aware that some areas may not fully meet accessibility standards, including:

  • Some decorative images may lack descriptive alternative text
  • Certain PDF documents linked from the site may not be fully accessible

We are working to address these issues over time.

Customising your browser for easier reading

Most browsers allow you to adjust how websites look to make them easier to read.

Here are some helpful tips:

Zoom in or enlarge text

  • On a Windows PC or Chromebook: press Ctrl and + to zoom in, or Ctrl and – to zoom out. Press Ctrl + 0 to reset.
  • On a Mac: press Cmd and + to zoom in, or Cmd and – to zoom out. Press Cmd + 0 to reset.
  • On a mobile or tablet: pinch two fingers apart on the screen to zoom in.

Change text size only

  • In Chrome: go to Settings → Appearance → Font size and choose your preferred size.
  • In Firefox: go to Settings → Language and Appearance and adjust the text size.
  • In Edge: go to Settings → Appearance → Fonts and adjust as needed.
  • In Safari (Mac): go to Safari → Settings → Websites → Page Zoom and set a default zoom level for all websites, or just this one.
  • In Safari (iPhone/iPad): go to Settings → Safari → Page Zoom to set a default text size across all websites, or tap AA in the address bar while on a page to adjust the size just for that site.

Use Safari Reader View for distraction-free reading

  • On a Mac, click the Reader button (the lines icon) on the left side of the address bar when it appears. This strips away adverts and clutter, leaving just the text and images.
  • On iPhone or iPad, tap the AA button in the address bar, then select Show Reader. You can also adjust the font, font size, and background colour within Reader View by tapping AA again once it is active.

Use high contrast or dark mode

  • Most devices offer a high contrast or dark mode setting. On Windows, go to Settings → Ease of Access → High Contrast. On a Mac, go to System Settings → Accessibility → Display.
  • On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size to enable bold text, larger text, increased contrast, or reduce transparency.

Screen readers

If you use a screen reader such as NVDA, JAWS, or VoiceOver, this website is designed to work with these tools. If you experience any difficulties, please let us know.
