At Roxwell Pre-School, we include half termly themes that help inspire families and staff to work together, ensuring every child receives a rich and engaging experience with each weekly topic. By joining forces as a team around all the children, we create a consistent and familiar approach to learning, making each theme learnable holistically. Our themes range from much-loved Julia Donaldson stories to exploring “What’s in the sky?” and celebrating Springtime, amongst others.
To make learning even more interactive, we have a yellow theme tray where children are encouraged to bring in theme-related items from home to share with the group, helping everyone deepen their understanding in a fun and collaborative way.
