Curriculum

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, drawing on both ‘Development Matters’ and ‘Birth to 5 Matters’ to nurture every child’s unique journey.

We embrace the seven areas of learning and development—personal, social and emotional development; communication and language; physical development; literacy; mathematics; understanding the world; and expressive arts and design—ensuring a holistic approach that supports the whole child.

The characteristics of effective learning – playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically – are at the heart of all that we do.

At our setting, we are passionate about providing a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where your child can thrive and feel valued every day. We understand that the early years are a precious time for growth, learning, and discovery, so we ensure each child receives the support they need to flourish both personally and academically.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS 2025) framework, regularly referencing both the Development Matters and Birth to Five Matters documents to guide our planning and provision. This means every activity your child participates in is carefully considered to support progress across the seven areas of learning and development, as well as incorporating the characteristics of effective learning.

Our approach combines child-initiated play and adult-led experiences, ensuring children have the freedom to explore and make choices, while also benefiting from gentle guidance and encouragement from our dedicated staff. We thoughtfully select and arrange resources using information from EYFS guidance, so your child enjoys a rich and stimulating learning environment.

Our are commitment

  • Providing a safe and nurturing space where your child feels secure and stimulated.
  • Offering generous care and attention, thanks to our high ratio of qualified staff to children, supported by bank staff when needed.
  • Encouraging your child to join in, play, learn, and build relationships with other children and adults.
  • Supporting your child’s learning by building on what they already know and can do, helping them develop new skills and confidence.
  • Assigning a personal key person to ensure your child receives individualised attention and makes satisfying progress.
  • Valuing parents as partners in their child’s learning journey, working together to support development and wellbeing.
  • Welcoming parent involvement in shaping the services we offer, ensuring our setting reflects your aspirations for your child.
