We actively instil a ‘can do’ attitude and nurture a positive growth mindset in all our children, helping them to approach challenges with confidence and resilience.
Our community spirit is second to none.
Children are provided with the resources they need to flourish as individuals, thanks to fundraising events and generous donations from villagers and the surrounding areas – we really are a fantastic community!
Community involvement is central to our ethos, with regular opportunities for families and local residents to take part and support our pre-school.
From the age of 2 years right up to 5 years, children learn to be positive role models and understand how to nurture and support one another, whilst maintaining their individuality and freedom of choice. Our staff themselves are excellent role models, consistently demonstrating supportive and encouraging behaviours. All our staff work five days a week, providing continuity and familiarity for each child, which sets us apart from many other settings and ensures a stable, nurturing environment.
We instil in all our children a strong sense of belonging to our group, fostering touching attachments with each other, parents/carers and our staff.
The consistency of our team enables us to form a winning, united group, which ultimately allows all our children to leave Roxwell Pre-school with the best start possible.
Our outdoor environment provides exceptional opportunities for discovery and adventure.
Nestled in our garden is Edith, our very own holiday home, where children can engage in imaginative play and create lasting memories. The playing fields present their own ups and downs, fostering resilience and teamwork, while explorations often lead us to the Gruffalo tree in the churchyard and the secret tree, home to our three beloved rabbits. Each day, the children observe the changing seasons and weather as they venture through the village, developing an appreciation for nature. During these outings, they become diligent risk assessors, learning to navigate electric fences, encounter dog walkers, recognise animal faeces, and practise essential road safety and stranger danger awareness, ensuring their adventures are both enriching and safe.
Our goal is for every child to move on with good self-esteem, the confidence to believe in themselves as independent individuals, and a positive outlook on learning.
we provide ensures they are well prepared for their new adventures beyond Roxwell Pre-school.
