2014 Autism Bronze Award Overview, Award and Roxwell Pre-School Award Presentation

Today Roxwell Pre-school was awarded the Essex Autism – friendly Bronze Award‎! We were presented this award for our achievement in developing our understanding about Autism and Social communication difficulties in order that we as a Pre-school become an Autism friendly setting. Many of the strategies involved in supporting children with Autism are equally beneficial to all children and so this award recognises the very inclusive and supportive practice for which Roxwell Pre-school is becoming recognised across mid Essex!

Both Sue Young and Elizabeth Lester (both managers of the Pre-school SEN/SEN teams for mid and West Essex) said ” To say this is a difficult award to achieve is not an exaggeration and the standard of the work presented by Roxwell showed very clearly the way the staff work as a team to support children, families and colleagues. This clearly exemplifies the way Roxwell Pre-school works as a team in all it sets out to achieve as your website and Newsletters clearly show.”

Roxwell Pre-school is the only setting in the Chelmsford area with this award and we are thrilled! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!
